England U21 come into Friday´s 2027 UEFA U21 Euro qualifying contest having now won each of their last six international fixtures. The European champions claimed glory in the finals earlier this year, before three successive qualification victories in the Autumn. 

Lee Carsley´s side scored victories against heavyweights Spain, Netherlands and Germany on their route to tournament glory in June, before keeping clean sheets in qualification victories against Kazakhstan, Moldova and Andorra.  

While strong defensively, England are likely to have far too much attacking quality for Ireland this week. The hosts won by more than one goal in three of their last six victories. 

A high-scoring outcome should be expected in Friday's 2027 UEFA U21 Euro qualifying contest. England have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their last seven matches.

Head coach Carsley has a 21-man squad to choose from on Friday. Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham is poised to win his 8th U21 cap for the Young Lions.

Ireland U21 make the trip to Birmingham after extending their unbeaten run to four matches with a 2:2 draw against Slovakia last month. Having fallen behind twice, James Crawford´s side showed their powers of recovery to pick up a point in Dublin.

Three games into the 2027 UEFA U21 Euro qualifying campaign, the Irish sit third in the section with seven points on the board. Ireland began the section with a 2:1 win in Moldova before a 1:0 win against Andorra before their draw against Slovakia.

Irish boss Crawford has a 22-man squad available for selection this week. Reading forward Mark O'Mahony is tipped to spearhead the visitors attack on Friday.
