Two sides short of Serie A form come together at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Saturday as Empoli takes on Udinese. 

Both teams come into this fixture having failed to win any of their last six matches, but despite recent downturns in form, both remain well clear of the drop zone.

Empoli vs Udinese Betting Tips: Draw / Under 2.5 goals 

While Empoli are without a win in six, just three losses in 11 mean they remain some ten points clear of the relegation zone. Losing just one of their last six at home - that against leaders Napoli - Empoli are a tough nut to crack at this venue, with only four of the top five sides in the division - Roma, Atalanta, Milan and Napoli  - winning at this venue this season.

Udinese comes into this fixture with an extraordinary recent record which has seen them draw ten of their last 17 league matches, with only one win against bottom-of-the-table Sampdoria recorded during that sequence.

Similarly, Empoli´s home matches have proved low scoring of late, with six of their last eight seeing under 2.5 goals scored. Only two of those matches saw both teams scoring.

 With Udinese having drawn more than half of their games over the past five months and Empoli five of their last ten, a low-stakes bet on another draw looks the best betting outcome, although the under 2.5 goal pick probably represents a safer selection considering both sides' lack of goals in recent weeks.
