Deportes Tolima have been among the best teams in Colombia between 2017 and 2021, but in recent seasons, they are not even as closely as good. In the previous Primera A Apertura, they finished 13th with 24 points from 20 rounds, and in Clausura, they continued with poor results. They sit in 17th place with nine points, already ten behind their next opponent, Independiente Medellin.

Independiente Medellin are on the rise. We can see a steady improvement in the standings in the last few years.
