- Competition: EURO 2024 Qualification
- Date: 17th November 2023
- Kickoff: 19:45 UTC / 20:45 CET
- Venue: Parken
The top two nations in Group H of Euro 2024 qualifying square off at Parken in the Indre Østerbro district of Copenhagen on Friday as Denmark play host to Slovenia.
These two sides could not be separated in their last meeting in June as they were forced to share the spoils in a 1:1 draw in Bežigrad District.
Denmark's hopes of qualifying for back to back Euros are very much alive after accumulating nineteen points from their first eight matches in Group H, leaving them 4 points adrift of third-placed Kazakhstan with just two games remaining.
The Red and Whites enjoyed a successive international break last month as they secured back to back wins against Kazakhstan and San Marino, scoring five goals in the process. Kasper Hjulmand’s side have now won each of their last four Euro qualifiers and will be looking to extend that run this week.
They host a Slovenia side who are in form themselves. The Slovenians have only made it to a European Championship once in their history - in 2000 - but they have put themselves in a good position to make it to Euro 2024 in Germany. Matjaž Kek's side are currently level on nineteen points with Denmark, after winning each of their last four games, and will not want to leave Friday's game empty-handed.
Denmark vs Slovenia Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Denmark have been very well positioned offensively since the start of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers. The Red and Whites have scored an average of two goals per game in their eight matches so far. Kasper Hjulmand's men finished only three of those games without conceding, making it unlikely that they will keep a clean sheet on Friday.
Slovenia also have an offence worth relying on. The Slovenians went without a goal in only one of their eight Euro 2024 qualifiers so far, and have scored three or more goals in three matches. Matjaž Kek's men have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three games, but had problems in defence in their last two encounters with the Danes, leaking a total of three goals across the two matches.

Denmark team news
Denmark will be without the services of Manchester United duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund for the November international break due to injury.
Eriksen was substituted in the first half of the Premier League game against Luton Town last weekend and is reported to have suffered a knee injury, while Hojlund picked up a muscle injury in the second half.
In Hojlund's absence, RB Leipzig striker Yussuf Poulsen - who has 75 caps to his name - could take on the responsibility of leading the line this week, while Pierre-Emile Højbjerg will be the one to watch in the middle of the park.

Slovenia team news
Jasmin Kurtic made his 86th and 87th international appearances for Slovenia during the October international break and is 15 away from becoming his nation's record appearance-maker, but the 34-year-old is unlikely to start Friday’s game.
Panathinaikos striker Andraž Šporar and RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Šeško - who have combined for 11 goals and assists in qualifying for EURO 2024 - are expected to reunite in the final third, while Jan Oblak will keep his place between the sticks.
