Following their promotion from Bundesliga II, Darmstadt have struggled to adapt to life in the German top flight following a six-year absence.

With just one point collected from five games played, Torsten Lieberknecht´s side already finds themselves inside the relegation places. 

Despite scoring six goals in their last four matches, Darmstadt managed just one draw in those games - a thrilling 3:3 share of the spoils with Monchengladbach. Unfortunately, Sunday´s hosts' defensive issues have contributed to their downfall, with 15 goals leaked in recent defeats against Union Berlin (4:1), Leverkusen (5:1) and Stuttgart (3:1).

Visiting Werder Bremen arrive at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor having won two but lost three of their first five games of the season. On the road, The River Islanders have lost each of their first three games of the season, extending their away losing streak to five games since the end of last season. 

Goals can usually be expected when Ole Werner´s side are involved, particularly in away matches. Bremen have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine road games in the Bundesliga. 

With Darmstadt seeing both of those outcomes in each of their last four league games, I´m confident we will see something similar on Sunday.

Given that, I´m backing BTTS with over 2.5 goals also expected in a game where Darmstadt could yet find their way to a first win of the season.
