An intriguing contest awaits us on Saturday afternoon when Crystal Palace and Everton who are separated by just four points in the Premier League meet.
The return of experienced manager Roy Hodgson in the second half of last season brought much joy to Crystal Palace fans but there have not been too many happy moments this season. The Eagles have won just four games this season and suffered four defeats, with three ending in draws. Some of the reasons for the slump in form are the injuries to star players Olise and Eberechi Eze, but latter has returned to training.
Everton meanwhile have become accustomed to having to win every game in the closing stages of the season to avoid relegation. The Toffees had another poor start to the season, failing to win any of their first five games (four defeats). Sean Dyche's side have improved significantly in recent weeks, though with the team losing just one of their last four games.
Crystal Palace vs Everton Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
Crystal Palace have performed well defensively this season, finishing five of their eleven games without conceding. Roy Hodgson's side also have a good defensive record against Everton at home (four clean sheets in the last five meetings).
Everton have also played very well defensively this season. The Toffees have only conceded more than one goal in two of their eleven league games this season, and that's despite having played against very attack-minded sides such as Arsenal, Brighton and Brentford. Their last three games all ended with under 2.5 goals.
- Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
- Crystal Palace vs Everton prediction: 1-1
