Cork City gained promotion the last season but did not have the best start in Premier Division. After 15 rounds, they had just nine points, but with three wins in the previous three rounds, they closed the gap between them and the teams in the safe zone. Now, they are in 9th place with just two points away from 8th-placed Drogheda.
Bohemian FC failed to win the title in Premier Division for the last nine seasons. In the current one, they are in a good position after 18 rounds. They have three points fewer than the first-placed Shamrock, but Shamrock played one extra game.
Cork City vs Bohemian FC pick: Under 2.5 goals
After a terrible stretch of games with six losses in a row, Cork City finally found their rhythm. They won against Sligo Rovers, Shamrock Rovers, and Drogheda, all by the same result - 1:0.
Defensively, Cork City heavily improved. Just for comparison, Cork City had only two clean sheets in the first 15 rounds and three in the last three matches.
Bohemian FC were four times under 2.5 goals in the previous five games. In the last two games, they managed to keep a clean sheet. But the more impressive thing about those games is that Bohemian allowed only two shots on goals to the opposing teams.
Bohemian FC have the fewest games (two) with three or more goals on the road in nine rounds in Premier Division.
Since both teams stepped up defensively, an under 2.5 goals bet should be the best choice in this match.

Cork City team news
Around a month ago, Colin Healy left the head coach position after a series of bad results.
Liam Buckley was appointed as the new Sports Director on 3rd May (the same day Colin Healy left the club). For now, Buckley is leading the team as a manager, too, but he noted that is only a temporary solution.
A starting right midfielder, Darragh Crowley, suffered an injury in the previous match against Drogheda and had to be substituted after just four minutes. He will most likely miss the Bohemians game too.
Three more players should miss the game with injuries: Jonas Hakkinen, Cian Bargary, and Albin Winbo.

Bohemian FC team news
Coach Declan Devine talked to the media after a 2:0 win against Sligo. He was satisfied with a win but also said they could score more goals. "We were very good, very commanding, but we have to learn. Even at 2-0, we gave them two or three opportunities, and we need to learn that part," he added.
A starting right winger, Dylan Connolly, and a backup striker, Dean Wiliams, missed the previous games and should miss the next match, too.
