- Venue: Stamford Bridge
With their worst-ever start to a Premier League season in the 21st century, Chelsea will hope to overturn their fortunes as the Eagles from Crystal Palace visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The sides are separated by just three points after 18 game weeks, with Palace also boasting a game in hand ahead of this weekend's clash. The Blues have a zero-goal difference, which is absolutely ballistic for a team which won the Champions League just less than two years ago. Their record of just two defeats at the Bridge will empower them for sure, as Palace have failed to win six of their eight away games played, which puts the home side in a very good spot despite abysmal morale.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Betting Pick #1: Chelsea to win
Graham Potter's job is in big trouble if he loses another game on Sunday as it could result in no Premier League win for the last four months or so. The Blues have a great record against Palace though, with 11 wins in a row in the head-to-head meetings and at least one goal scored in each of the last 18 games played between the two sides. Chelsea are also fortunate that Patrick Vieira's team has also a rough spot after an impressive first quarter of the 2022-23 season. Palace have lost six games and drawn two from the last ten games played which is just a 20% win record. Chelsea should get their eighth win of the season on Sunday for sure.
Pick #2: Over 2.5 goals
Chelsea and Palace have always been very attacking in nature whenever playing against each other, and this has resulted in five of the last seven meetings ending in over 2.5 goals being scored. The Eagles have a similar record in the recent form too with six of their last seven games ending in three or more goals being scored. We expect Palace to score in this game, forcing Chelsea to score at least two or more goals on the night. It is also high time that the Blues overturn their poor form too as their chances to play European football next season are looking highly bleak.

Chelsea Team News
Chelsea can field a first team of their injured players right now. New loan signing Joao Felix was also shown a straight red against Fulham, handing him a three-game ban which starts from this Palace game. While mainstays like Reece James, N'Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy continue to be out with major injuries, a new addition to the list is midfielder Denis Zakaria. The Swiss international pulled a muscle against Manchester City in the FA Cup and will be unavailable for the next two games at least. Chelsea runs very thin in the attacking department too, with Felix's absence adding to the already injured Christian Pulisic (Knee) and Raheem Sterling (Hamstring).
Players to watch: Kai Havertz (4 goals and 1 assist), Mason Mount (24 chances created this season), Kalidou Koulibaly (1.5 interceptions per 90 mins)

Crystal Palace Team News
Palace are back to their best starting eleven as most of their stars are recovering from injuries and back from the post-World Cup holidays. The only two absentees from Patrick Vieira's team would be left-back Nathan Ferguson and central midfielder James McArthur. Ferguson is nursing a muscle injury but is back in training since the previous week. So is McArthur, who had suffered a hip injury which had kept him sidelined from Premier League action for the last month and a half. Other than the two players, Palace have no other unavailable players.
Players to watch: Wilfried Zaha (6 goals and 2 assists), Eberechi Eze (31 chances created this season), Cheick Doucoure (1.9 interceptions per 90 mins)
