Celtic can maintain their stranglehold at the top of the Premiership when they welcome St Mirren to Parkhead.
Following a somewhat controversial Viaplay Cup semi-final win against Kilmarnock, the league leaders return to Premiership duty looking to strengthen their nine-point advantage against chasing Rangers, who take on Kilmarnock at the same time.
Celtic vs St. Mirren Betting Tips: Celtic -1.5 AH
A home win is about as big a banker as you can find when Celtic are involved with the Hoops winning a remarkable 31 of their last 35 unbeaten home league matches. Scoring two goals or more in 17 of their last 18 Premiership games at Parkhead, Rangers were the only team to leave the East End of Glasgow with a point since May of last year.
Now facing a visiting St Mirren side that has lost five of their last seven away league matches, it´s hard to see another outcome for this Premiership match.
Indeed, without a win in any of their last seven away league matches, the Buddies do their best work in Paisley, with just five of their 27 points collected achieved on their travels.
History doesn´t offer much hope to the visitors either, with 16 of their last 17 away games against Celtic ending in defeat, although St Mirren did win at Parkhead just two years ago. However, this is a vastly different and improved Celtic side, and a repeat of that result seems highly improbable.
As such, we´re backing Celtic to maintain their winning form, with the hosts likely to cover the -1.5 AH lines against a Saints side that has conceded three goals or more in five of their last six away league losses.
