  • Competition: World Cup - Group "G"
  • Date: Friday, 2nd, December 2022
  • Kickoff: 19:00 UK/20.00 CET
  • Venue: Lusail Iconic Stadium (Lusail)

After a two-goal deficit, the Cameroon national team managed to come back to life and take a point against Serbia, in a spectacular six-goal draw (3-3), and with that result they finally ended the black streak. Namely, The Indomitable Lions, before the match with Serbia, had a series of eight consecutive defeats at the World Cups, while they felt the sweetness of victory on this big stage back in 2002, when they triumphed over Saudi Arabia with a minimum of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Brazil did not look as dominant as they did in the opener, but they managed to cruise to a 1-0 triumph over the Swiss in their Group G second-round match. With this victory, the "Selecao" reached the maximum six points and ensured, with a round before the end, a place in the round of 16 of the World Cup in the Middle East. Coach Tite and his team will want to finish the group stage with maximum performance, in order to keep their high confidence ahead of the elimination stage.

Cameroon vs Brazil Betting Tips: AH2(-1.5)

These two teams have met five times so far, two of which were played at the World Cup. Brazil demonstrated their power over Cameroon both times on the world stage - with convincing triumphs (3-0 / 1974) and (4-1 / 2014).

The Cameroonians have a lot of support from all sides, but they are simply not up to this level of football. The point against Serbia is actually their "first" after 16 years at the World Cup, since they did not participate in 2006.

However, the popular "The Indomitable Lions" fully justified their nickname at this year's World Cup in Qatar. They need all three points in the final round, but beating a five-time world champion - easier said than done.

The Brazilians are playing phenomenally in recent months and hardly anyone can stand in their way at the moment. Their last defeat was against Argentina in the Copa America final (July / 2021) and since then they have tied 17 games without defeat - only three draws and as many as 14 magnificent triumphs.

Tite's chosen ones are simply relentless on their opponents of late. An impressive goal difference of 29 goals scored and just two goals conceded from their last eight clearly shows their quality at both ends of the pitch.

It should be borne in mind that the Brazilians have achieved seven of their last nine triumphs with at least two goals, so the Cameroonians have nothing to look for in this match. Although Tite will give a chance to players with fewer minutes, Brazil's bench looks so strong that we expect a convincing triumph on the last day.

Brazil Team News

Danilo and Neymar were already injured in the first round against Serbia, and this duo was joined by Alex Sandro, who suffered an adductor injury last time, so this trio will not participate against Cameroon.

With Brazil already qualified for the knockout stage, coach Tite decided to give the reserves a chance in the third match, so we expect Gabriel Martinelli, Rodrygo and Gabriel Jesus to lead the attack.
