Burnley, who were relegated from the Premier League last season after six years, are smiling about an express return among the best English clubs after only one season, and with it the championship title. The popular "The Clarets" dominate the second tier of English football and are currently the leaders with 59 points won, which is five points more than Sheffield United, who are breathing down their necks. By the way, many see Burnley already now in the Premier League next season, given that they are even 16 points above the third-placed Watford.
In the meantime, Carclos Corberan has totally reborn West Bromwich Albion since he took over the helm of this club after replacing Steve Bruce and what is even more important is that he has rekindled their hopes for promotion to the elite tier. A run of great results lately has catapulted West Brom into the top six, so "The Baggies" are sixth at the moment with 41 points, but they must not relax too much, considering that they have only two points more than Norwich, which is currently in seventh position.
Burnley vs West Bromwich Albion Betting Tips: Team1 to Win
Recent meetings between these teams have been quite tough, with each of the previous three finished without a winner, including the first of the current campaign. Burnley gained the advantage already in the 30th minute, but Brandon Thomas-Asante brought a point to his team literally in the last seconds of the match for the final 1-1.
The Championship leader looks unstoppable. Burnley managed to carry their outstanding form from the end of 2022 into the new calendar year as they triumphed in each of their opening three competitive games in 2023.
They simply turned their "Turf Moor" into an "impregnable fortress". The Clarets, in fact, are the only team in the Championship still unbeaten on home turf so far this season, collecting 34 points from 14 games (W10, D4).
What particularly adorns them in the so far course of the competition is the impressive attacking line that managed to score 53 goals this season, which classifies them in the first place in terms of efficiency in the league.
West Bromwich Albion, meanwhile, improved their away form significantly. They have been without a win on the side for a long time, but now they can boast of four triumphs from the previous five away games, with one failure.
However, it should be remembered that none of those victories came against teams from the upper echelon, so "The Baggies" await the toughest test on Friday so far, but it is unlikely that they will pass it, since Burnley became a real "punishment expedition" that packed at least three balls into the net of its opponents in six of the last nine home games.

Burnley Team News
Burnley will be without right-back Vitinho, who has missed the last seven games through injury, while the long-injured Ashley Westwood is back in the squad, but it is not yet known when he will take the field.
What perhaps worries coach Vincent Kompany the most is the injury to 20-year-old centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis (on loan from Manchester City), who will be out for at least two months.

West Bromwich Albion Team News
Meanwhile, Spanish coach Carlos Corberan also has certain injury problems, so he won't be able to count on the long-injured Kean Bryan and Kyle Bartley, as well as centre-forward Kenneth Zohore.
Eric Pieters missed the FA Cup match against Chesterfield but he will almost certainly return to the backline against Burnley on Friday. Otherwise, very little changes are expected in the starting XI by the coach.
