Since coming to the Premier League, Brentford quickly became one of the stable teams, finishing 9th and 13th in the first two seasons. As mentioned, Ivan Toney is suspended for gambling and unavailable until 17 January 2024. But, according to speculations, the striker could leave Brentford before his suspension finishes since there is major interest in him from Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea.
A starting left full-back, Rico Henry, will miss the game with a knee injury. Still, they have a very good backup option in Aaron Hickey.
Midfielders Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste are also ruled out with injuries, while Mikkel Damsgaard is questionable.

Declan Rice had to leave the field after 45 minutes in the previous game vs Tottenham due to some pain in his back. He is listed as questionable, but we highly doubt he will play in the Carabao Cup.
Gabriel Martinelli, who suffered a hamstring injury against Everton and missed the following two games, is close to returning to the pitch. We might see him for a limited minutes.
