Dortmund return to Bundesliga action looking to rebound from a disappointing 2:0 Champions League loss away at PSG earlier this week.
Having enjoyed an unbeaten start to the domestic season, BVB looked well off the pace in Paris and will need to find an improved level of performance if they are to see off the challenge of visiting Wolfsburg.
In the Bundesliga, Dortmund have begun the season unbeaten but have dropped points against both Bochum and, surprisingly, at home to newly promoted Heidenheim.
Typically strong on home soil, BVB are unbeaten in their last 17 home Bundesliga games although they have dropped points in two of their last three at SIGNAL IDUNA, including last season´s disastrous title giveaway against Mainz.
Wolfsburg comes into this contest fully rested after a free midweek, and the visitors may fancy their chances of getting something from this contest. Niko Kovac´s side have won three and lost one of four Bundesliga matches played so far.
However, Wolfsburg have a miserable recent record at this venue - having conceded six goals in both of their last two away losses against BVB. In fact, Dortmund have won seven of their last eight home matches against the Wolves, while the visitors have failed to score in six of their last seven matches at this venue.
While not in the best form, Dortmund should be able to get back to winning ways on Saturday, so I´m backing a home win at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
