After being knocked out from the Cup 1/16 Finals by Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund will welcome RB Leipzig in the ninth round of the German Bundesliga at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
Borussia had a poor last season in the Bundesliga, finishing 5th, which is way below their expectations and results in recent years. However, their good run in the Champions League somewhat compensated for that poor Bundesliga performance as the Prussians reached the Finals but eventually lost to Real Madrid. Over the Summer, they made some really good transfers, but for now, they are not looking good. Right now, they are in 7th place with 13 points in eight rounds, and as we mentioned, they have already been eliminated from the DFB Pokal.
Since coming to Bundesliga, RB Leipzig has immediately become one of the best teams in Germany. Even though it is still early to tell, the team from Saxony is looking like one of the title contenders this season. Right now, they are tied with Bayern Munich for the top spot with 20 points each. In contrast to their excellent performances in domestic competitions, RB Leipzig has been disappointing in the Champions League, as they have lost all three games so far.
Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig pick: RB Leipzig to (AH 0) win
Borussia Dortmund are in terrible form. They lost three in a row in all competitions and have lost four out of the last five games. Even though all of their poor games happened away from home, we do not like what we have seen thus far. A big part of the problems are constant injuries, especially in the defensive line.
On the other hand, RB Leipzig won four out of the last five games and have been fantastic offensively. In the last two games against St Pauli and Freiburg, they scored seven goals! Currently, along with Bayern Munich, they are the only undefeated team in the Bundesliga with a 75% win rate (six out of eight games) and we hope for another positive result.
Last season, these teams met twice, with RB Leipzig winning both matches. Additionally, Dortmund won just one h2h game in the last seven encounters. Considering the previous h2h games and the difference in form, we believe that RB Leipzig are closer to winning the upcoming Bundesliga game.

Borussia Dortmund team news
The left full-back, Almugera Kabar, received a red card in the previous Bundesliga game against Augsburg and will be suspended for the RB Leipzig game. Even though he is most a backup option, his absence is a massive factor since they have so many defensive players injured.
However, the team is having massive injury problems as they will miss up to seven players - Julian Reyerson, Waldemar Anton, Niklas Sule, Yan Couto, Julien Duranville, Karim Adeyemi, and Giovanni Reyna. Meanwhile, Jamie Gittens is questionable after suffering a minor injury in the previous match against Wolfsburg.

RB Leipzig team news
Peter Gulacsi and Lois Openda missed the previous game against St Pauli due to minor injuries. However, coach Rose said he thinks they will be ready for Dortmund. He noted that Gulacsi could have played in the Cup game but did not want to rush him.
On the other hand, Xavi SImons, Nicolas Seiwald, Xaver Schlager, David Raum, and Assan Ouedraogo, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
