Benevento vs Giugliano prediction 13.11.2023

After Giugliano eliminated Benevento in the Coppa Italia Serie C 1/32 Finals (after a penalty shootout), Benevento will have the opportunity for a rematch in the 13th round of the Serie C, Group C. 

Benevento traveled between Serie A and B a few years ago and was clearly on the rise, but last season was a complete disaster. The Sorcerers finished last in Serie B, but this season, they look like one of the primary candidates for promotion. At this moment, they are 2nd with 25 points from 12 matches - two points away from 1st-placed Juve Stabia. 

Giugliano finished first in Serie D, Group G (fourth tier) in the 2021/22 season and secured promotion. In the following season, "Tigrotti" did well, as they finished 12th and missed the playoffs only due to a worse h2h record vs Juve Stabia. Although it is still early, this season looks very similar to the last one, as they are in 13th place with 15 points in 12 matches.  

Benevento vs Giugliano pick: Benevento to win

Benevento have been excellent this season, winning seven of 12 games, and it seems they are only getting better as the season progresses. At home, they are still undefeated, with four wins and a draw in five games! Lately, Benevento's defense looked simply incredible as they kept a clean sheet in the last four games.

Giugliano are one of the worst road teams in the league. They won only once in five rounds, but that win came against Turris, who are on a terrible run. Also, although we saw some improvements in previous games, Giugliano are still the worst offensive team in the league, with only nine goals scored. On the road, their offensive struggles are even bigger as they scored only twice in five rounds - 0.4 per game.  

In the previous h2h game, in Coppa Italia Serie C, just a month and a half ago, we saw a 1:1 draw in the regular time, with Giugliano winning after the penalty shootout. However, we have to mention that Benevento were a much better team and deserved a win. Considering the previous h2h game, the home pitch advantage, and Benevento's incredible defensive streak, we think Benevento should secure their eighth league victory of the season.
