Atletico MG vs Fortaleza prediction 12.11.2025 | Serie A

Atletico MG had an underwhelming season behind them, finishing 12th, and aren't doing much better this season as they are currently sitting in ninth place with 43 points - eight points from the Copa Libertadores Qualifiers. However, they are now in excellent form and could save their season by winning the Copa Sudamericana. They are expecting a final against Lanus (Argentina) in just ten days from now. It seems that is their best route to securing the Copa Libertadores. Still, they will have to keep winning points in Serie A too, because they are only three points away from dropping out of their Copa Sudamericana spots. 

Ruan Tressoldi and Bernard served their one-game suspension in the previous game against Sport Recife and will be available for the Fortaleza game. Both players have been an important part of the starting eleven in the last part of the season.

Unlike Atletico MG, Fortaleza had an excellent season behind them, finishing fourth! However, this year, the popular Tricolors are super close to being relegated after seven years in Serie A. After 32 rounds, they are sitting in 19th place - five points away from the safe zone, though with one game played less. Unfortunately for them, the remaining six games will be mostly against teams from the upper half of the league's table, and their route to survival will not be easy. 

Midfielder Matheus Pereira received a red card in the previous game against Gremio and will be suspended for the Atletico MG game. Additionally, Emanuel Brítez will serve his one-game suspension after collecting his third yellow card in the previous match.
