Arsenal vs Burnley prediction 11.11.2023

Last season, Arsenal finally had the chance to dethrone Manchester City, but with a poor end of the season, they blew the opportunity. Over the Summer, the Gunners further improved the roster and again look like a contender. In November, they lost two games, including a Carabao Cup game vs West Ham, but that is not necessarily bad because they can focus on more important prizes - the Champions League and the Premier League. At the moment, Arsenal are at the top of their group in the Champions League, and in the Premier League, they are 4th with only three points away from the top spot. 

After a dominant last season in the Championship, no one expected such a bad start for Burnley. Right now, the Clarets are 19th with only four points in 11 rounds and were also eliminated by the Carabao Cup by Everton pretty easily (3:0). Looking at the last few games, it seems the Clarets are only looking worse as the season progresses and will have a tough job of escaping relegation.

Arsenal were great this season if we exclude two games in November vs West Ham and Newcastle. Still, they bounced with a comfortable win (2:0) vs Sevilla in the Champions League, where they simply dominated the Spanish team. 

At Emirates Stadium, Arsenal played excellently the entire season and still haven't lost in eight matches. But lately, they are looking great as they won three in a row, including a 1:0 win over Manchester City. Also, in those three home games, the Gunners kept a clean sheet every time, and the Clarets will have a challenging task of scoring in this match. 

Burnely are in terrible form! They lost five in a row, with an atrocious goal difference of 2:14. And to be fair, they had a pretty easy schedule in that stretch. The offense has been a massive problem, and they are currently the worst offensive team in the league, with only eight scored goals.

Arsenal generally plays great vs weaker teams and have already won 5:0 and 4:0 vs the other two teams in the relegation zone (Sheffield United and Bournemouth). Considering that, and everything the above, anything but a big win for the Gunners would be a surprise.
