The group stage of the UEFA Women´s Champions League gets underway in Amsterdam on Wednesday as Ajax hosts PSG at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Ajax (Wom) vs PSG (Wom) Betting Tips - Over 2.5 goals

PSG arrives in Amsterdam as short-priced odds-on favourites to get their campaign off and running with all three points. 

However, the French visitors do not have the greatest of away records to justify such a level of favouritism. The Parisiens have won only one of their last five and just two of their last seven away UCL matches.

Domestically, PSG sit 4th in the French league with 12 points from their first five matches following a 5:2 win at Dijon this past weekend. Goals can usually be expected when PSG are in action. The French have seen over 2.5 goals scored in each of their last three matches and in seven of their last ten on the road.

Ajax comes into this match in excellent form with six successive wins achieved over the past month.  While the Amsterdam side have never qualified beyond the group stage in this competition, the Dutch have a pretty decent home record in the UCL. Suzanne Bakker´s side have lost just three of 13 home matches although those did come against heavyweights like Lyon, Bayern and Arsenal.

While a tricky tie to call at this early juncture of the season, I fancy this match to see at least three goals scored with Ajax capable of making PSG work hard for the expected three points. 

I´m backing over 2.5 goals with PSG likely to have enough quality to claim a matchday one victory in Amsterdam.
