After suffering their second League Two defeat of the new campaign on Saturday, Crawley Town target a return to winning ways on Tuesday. They host Arsenal under-21s, with the Young Guns beating Ipswich last month to sit second in their Football League Trophy group.

Can Steve Bould's youngsters make it a perfect two from two, or will Crawley earn their first points in a competitive Southern Group B this coming week? Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.

Crawley Town vs Arsenal U21 Betting Tips

Having enjoyed their first three-match unbeaten run since play was suspended in early March, Crawley were humbled 2-0 away from home by Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

Goals from Andy Williams and a Tony Craig own goal were enough for Michael Duff's men to emerge victorious. Crawley were always likely to make changes, regardless of their weekend result, but that's probably even more pressing now after a comprehensive loss like that.

Cheltenham had the better chances (16 shots, six on target), more possession and completed passes (301, 71% success) on an afternoon where their visitors were largely underwhelming.

Captain and versatile midfielder George Francomb limped off late in the second-half, making matters even worse. He was one of their better performers during a 2-1 EFL Trophy defeat by Gillingham on September 8 and his presence will be missed here.

Creative-minded midfielder Tarryn Allarakhia could be among those with a point to prove. The 22-year-old started but was replaced before the hour mark after a quiet showing on Saturday – just 15 touches in the number ten role. He'll hope to see more time on the ball against an Arsenal backline missing some notable names.

Mark McGuinness – their Man of the Match against Ipswich on MD1 – has joined Paul Lambert's side on a season-long loan deal. Versatile fullback Tolaji Bola joined Rochdale on loan until January last week, suggesting Jonathan Dinzeyi could be among the visitors' defensive changes.

Crawley Town vs Arsenal U21 Correct Score Predictions

As mentioned, Crawley want to finally get off the mark in this competition. Arsenal should field a strong side, even with youngsters departing on loan deals in recent weeks, so I'm predicting BTTS here.
