Brazil vs Mexico Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview

This Monday, Brazil will face Mexico at the Cosmos Arena (Samara). This is a clash between two sides which are familiar with each other. Judging by their previous encounters we are in for a game full of chances, goals, and betting opportunities for all the football fans.

Brazil is coming into the knock-out phase from the first slot of Group E. In their group campaign they managed to stay undefeated with a draw and two wins. They drew to Switzerland in the first round and went on to beat Costa Rica and Serbia, respectively. Their most recent outing was against Serbia which saw the Brazilians triumph with the score of 2-0. Despite being a much shorter team, they didn’t have many problems with the set-pieces from the Serbs. Tiago Silva and Miranda showed their composure and cleared most of those balls, thus neutralizing the opponent’s chances. Brazil’s speed was their huge advantage and the European side had trouble adapting to it. In the thirty-sixth minute of the match, Paulinho scored over the keeper after an amazing pass from Coutinho. The Barcelona connection did its job and brought them up front. Mid-second half, Serbia started attacking with all of their might and there was a big possibility of an equalizer. Just when things looked like they might go bad, Tiago Silva changed the momentum and scored from a corner set piece. With that goal, he increased their lead and destroyed Serbia’s hopes of a possible comeback.

Brazil vs Mexico Prediction

Mexico finished their group campaign in the second slot of Group F, behind Sweden. They started the tournament in a great manner as they have defeated Germany in the first round by the score of 0-1. In the second match, they faced South Korea and got a win. In their third and final clash in the group, they lost to Sweden by the score of 0-3. Augustinsson and Granqvist scored for Sweden to make it 2-0. Ten minutes later, Alvarez of Mexico scored an own-goal to set the final result. The Mexican fans were in agony as they were about to get eliminated from the tournament. In the final minutes of the game, South Korea played for Mexicans and defeated Germany with two goals in the stoppage time. Germany’s second loss would see Mexico progress further into the competition.

These two sides have a long mutual history. They played their first ever official game way back in 1950, and their most recent one took place in 2015. They played a total of twenty-three matches. Of those twenty-three, Brazil has won twelve, Mexico seven, and the remaining four outings ended as draws. In their most recent match, Brazil triumphed by the score of 2-0 with goals from Coutinho and Tardelli. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Brazil's last 7 games (FIFA World Cup). Judging by that, we are in for a real tactical battle between two teams from the American continent. Brazil has a better h2h score but it seems as Mexico is ready to try and change that.

Brazil vs Mexico Prediction

What a great football game to place our bet on Monday on World Cup Round of 16. Match Brazil vs Mexico brings us very good betting opportunity and you shouldn't miss to bet on. Brazil are closer to go through, but it will not be an easy job. In their four previous World Cup matches with Mexico, Brazil have never conceded a goal against El Tri, and once again we expect an interesting and exciting football game. Brazil will control the ball, but Mexico will have several good scoring chances after fast counterattacks. Phillippe Coutinho is Brazil’s leading scorer at the tournament and he will be a key player. But Selecao like to play over Neymar, and if he will be selfish on this match, then the Brazilians will have hard job. Mexico have fast players, but they play very unpredictable. This game is very important for them and all players are highly motivated to do their best. Brazil have only attacking wing-backs and it is their defensive issues. El Tri know it and they will try to use their fast wingers after counterattacks to score at least one goal. We believe this game is going to be dynamic and open one and maybe Mexico can score first.

However, our prediction and betting tips for the match Brazil vs Mexico Prediction: Both teams to score. We expect from both sides to score, but also expect from Brazil to score a goal more. Our second betting pick for the match is Brazil to win and Both teams to score. This bet can bring us a lot of money on Monday. We expect from Coutinho to score and you can try to place some money on him. Maybe correct score will be 2-1. Have a nice betting day and good luck in earning money with our football prediction and betting tips.
